Yea man I would relax if I was you. The man has to make money to keep the doors open. If he didn't he wouldn't be able to give handouts. We had the same problem where I used to work. It seemed that the people getting freebies and handouts complained the most, and the guys paying tons of cash didn't say a word. You can't expect him to work nonstop on a non paying job. It's just not gonna work out unless you are patient with him.

Seems like a pretty simple solution to me...go down there and work on it.

To be quite honest though, you really cant complain much if they are doing it for free. They are going to do it on there own time so it doesnt cost them money and im sure if they arent doing it that it is only because they have paying work to get done. The only thing I see wrong with that picture is that it is probably costing them more money to have it sit there rather then to just get it done and out of the shop.

Sit down with the owner tell him you are worried it wont be ready for show season and see what he says.... who knows it may work .

your right douggie i havent complained because the work is turning out bitchin and im happy with everything except the time frame, you would think that they would want it out of there. oh well, miss a show or two this season it will be worth the wait i guess. thanks for the input

Don't get me wrong bro, I 100% hear where you are coming from. Ill give you an example that I know you can relate to as well as the guys working on your car. They work on rides all day, and when they do yours I almost bet that they have to do it at night or after work. If I am correct then I will let you know how I know how they feel.

I built my car after work and on weekends. All the work that was done was either after 5pm, or if we didnt have work they would let me start working on it around 4. Otherwise I had saturday morning and afternoon to work on it or Sunday. After working on other peoples cars and trucks all day, I would walk outside to work on my car and turn around and go home. Even thinking about doing more work at the end of the day made me sick. I finally had to suck it up and get the car going over the summer.

It just sucks knowing that it could be done and something is holding it back. But dont fret man, I gaurentee that if they are taking there time on it there is a reason, and they are going to go a real nice job. Besides from the looks of your truck I dont think they want a bad paint job on it with there name all over it if I know what I mean. Keep your head up and stick in there, just keep poking in the shop I am sure your ride will be getting done alot sooner than you think.

Rail It Customs man you act like thats a bad thing. Try not being sponsered and working shitty ass minimum wage jobs to fund your truck and having the shop take months to do it (even though your paying them). At least you get shit for free, so my advice is just talk to the painter and tell him how you feel. And keep going down there to work on it thus it will be done a lot quicker, and you'll be able to catch any of his fuck ups (if any) on the paint! Peace ~JP

I'm in a very similar situation (not for paint work) with getting some suspension work done. Now A year and a half later I'm gonna go pick it up and take it somewhere else. But look at it like this, I know people who were PAYING CUSTOMERS and had to wait longer than you for their finished ride. I work a 40+ hour a week job and do custom paint on the side. So I only paint on the weekends but I've never taken longer than 3 months to complete a job. The big difference

i had the exact same thing happen to me so i just spent all my free time working and helping the best i could. It took 6 month and i missed all of the shows for 2004 but it turned out sweet.
