I used to work for a VW dealership and those cars are ALWAYS in the shop for some crap.
They are over engineered pieces of shit from germany.
Ive seen 05 passat's in service for MAJOR shit not oil changes.

I WOULD HAVE TO AGREE!!!! Even though I own and daily drive a Dub... I hate it. The only motor that is considered "reliable" is the 2.0 motor thats offered in the Golf and Jetta. If you check out www.VWVortex.com you can really get alot of information on them. Its a great site I wish there was a MiniTruckVortex because its so well organized and the forums are HUGE!!!! Sign up there and take a look around. You will realize it takes a special breed to be a V-Dubber.. you just are or you aren't. After driving a mini and a dub I realize that I'm not. I can't wait to get back into a Mini and just drive my golf back and forth to work and in the winter (even though its HORRIBLE in snow and bad conditions). I would say if you were looking for a nicer car to daily look elsewhere.
