Yea be4 i put like 2 boxes of dynamat in mine i could knock bulbs off the roof at Sonic (long story), and be heard like a couple blocks away...

now so much dynamat,it sounds softer or w/e, but it boosted my SPL inside...

and doesnt have that tin can full of rocks sound....

the thing is that the ones you hear outside the car could be actually louder then they are because all the sound your hearing outside the car is the vibration of panels and if the panels were dampened the spl would increase because we all know flexing is the enemy of spl. There are too many aspects for me to list why some setups are louder then others but it all comes back to the quality of the install.

It is also in the placement of the speakers and the type and design of the box. The same speaker can sound different if it is facing up or down forward or backward.

yeah, dynamatt definatly makes your system sound quiet on the outside. You could here my single 10 w7 from a few blocks away, 85 plus square feet of dynamatt and a lot of polyfill later, you do not here shit outside of the of the truck, plus the mids and highs sound a lot better also.
