Different gas tanks

I was looking online last night and the mustang tanks looked flat on top. Thas cool that someone else has used them and I had that same idea......

I'm running a 13.2 gallon tank from a 83-85 carburated chevy blazer. It's about 9 1/2 inches tall with the sending unit in. The tank itself is 8 3/4. Heres a pic of it

the std cab mazda tanks are pretty sweet and small.

^^^thats what I'm thinking why would you want to use any tank from a diff. vehicle?? unless you are going to use a fuel cell the mazda tank is the perfect size to fit the frame and the mounts are very easy to make

I just want to keep as much space as I can. If I can find something thinner, I can still keep it under the bed floor and not have to worry about it being so close to the ground........

Beware that if you use a gas tank with an internal pump from a fuel injected car and use it on a carbureted engine you will pump fuel all over the place and possably start a fire.
