hey guys,
i bought a ball joint seperating tool and slide it into place, beat the f*%k out of it, after i removed the nut of course and it didn't budge. this is my first ball joint, should i have the suspension under pressure, no pressure, put mu purse down, more lube.....?
it's a lower ball joint, facing down, under the wheel.
any help would be great !

IVE FOUND THAT IF THE FRONT WHEEL IS TURNED THAT IT MAKES IT REALLY HARD TO POP THE BALL JOINT LOOSE.

if its the upper ive always been able to separate them by hitting the spindle on the side of it with a hammer where it connects to the balljoint. if not a 2 jaw puller works fine.

Air hammer and a ball joint separating bit is the way to go.

but to answer your question I usually pop them under a slight load, and with the nut just barley on to keep shit from flying around. The slowly lower the jack from under the arm.

i always use a BFH and hit the spindle by the balljoint. sometimes it takes a little work, but its better than effing up the balljoint with a pickle fork
