if its the upper ive always been able to separate them by hitting the spindle on the side of it with a hammer where it connects to the balljoint. if not a 2 jaw puller works fine.

Cris, what a pussy. Chuck would do it bare handed.

Bare handed?!?! What are you talking about? All he would have to do is look at it and it would fall out!

Everyone knows if he stares at it the joint will fuse and no mortal man would be able to take it apart.

yea, chuck just pulls on that shit, either the balljoint pops out or somethin breaks. but on the real, the pickelforks do nothin but give you a headache and tore balljoint boots.

should i hit the arm or the knuckle ?
maybe thats not the right words....ummm should i hit the piece that holds the balljoint or the arm that will come off the tapered end of the balljoint ?

the top of the spindle on the side where the balljoint goes through..

k, still unsure, my balljoint is a lower one, it's upside down. it is attached to the back of the bub and there is an arm that i have to get off of it. the nut unscrews towards the ground.
when you say spindle, do you mean the tapered section of the balljoint? it looks like i should be hitting the side of the arm that i need to pop off the balljoint?
thanks for your help!
