why would u want to section a gas tank? im pretty sure its for clearance but y not relocate or get a fuel cell you woulnt have to waste time cleaning out tank, cutting, welding and fixing leaks plus it would just make the tank smaller and would not hold as much gas. maybe just me but this seems pointless??

after i hosed mine out and let it sit for a week, I put a bunch of dry ice in it and a little water. it pushes all of the excess fumes out.

well i wanted to keep the stock location, because i want my truck as stock as possible. so that i didnt have to cut a hole in my cab, i sectioned the front to fit back under the cab, only lost alittle over a gallon by doing so.

I just ran a hose through mine for a couple hours then drained it, let it sit for a week or so, then cut it and welded it. No problems for me.

just go get it hot tanked. its not worth an injury to save a few bucks. once it has been tanked its like welding anything else.
