no, 30" is not too long. the longer your bars are, the less arc you'll have. just make sure you gusset the bottom of you lower bars if you're gonna run a bag on it. and as far as running a wishbone goes, as long as you run all bars (lowers and wishbone) forward, you'll be fine. thats the best set-up. two more things to keep in mind... your upper and lower bars should be as close to the same length as possible, and when you go to set it all up, do so at about 50% of your travel and try to keep them parralell to each other.
by same length do you mean the bars should all be the same 30" long or that the uppers when triangulated would go out to the same mouting point as the lowers as if the triangulated bars would be the hypotenuse of a triangle created by a lower bar and an upper bar.
