Just bought a 1992 Suburban Dually from California and it is on it's way to Florida via top level of a vehicle transport. I had been searching for awhile and came across some really nice examples but this one really stood out and for the price could not pass up.
Details:
1992 2500 Suburban 454/4L80E 2 wheel drive
I was told that it has been lowered with the use of drop spindles up front and reversed shackles in the rear. There is Gabriel air shocks in the rear and 16" Alcoas all around.
Tell me what you all think?

I can not wait til the transport truck shows up. I really got a great deal on this burb and the gentleman that owned it was an outstanding person.

Well the burb has arrived but unfortunately I was not around to meet the transport carrier so I had a real good friend watch as my new toy was unloaded. While on the phone with him I heard him yell out as the rear ramp slid out from under the rear wheels as it was coming off the trailer and he asked if he could call me back so that he could help with the issue at hand. After 30 minutes I decided to call back and was glad to hear that the truck was off the trailer and that all was good and the only damage to the truck was the rear hitch cover broke when it hit the ground when the ramp slid out.
When I finally arrived into town I was stoked to see the burb sitting there long and low as I hoped it would look. After a quick inspection to see if both AC's work (they did) and to check all the lights worked (Yes)I wanted to take it for a drive and was quite surprised at how it rode down the road. A I noticed a slight shimmy in the front and will need to take it to my local tire shop to check alignment and balance. Overall the truck is in great shape for an almost 20 year old ride but did see quite a few areas that will need attention.
1) Carpet needs to be replaced. The previous owners must of had dogs because that is all I can smell inside and the stains will drive me crazy. Any suggestions where to buy good factory like carpet??
2) Door panels are missing their mounting clips and are loose and the front power window buttons are missing from the switch. Junk yard find.
3) Rear lift gate window seals are in bad shape and they look like they leak when it rains. LMC or Classic Truck?
4) Drivers side rear dually fender not properly attached to body and looks like it just needs new double sided 3M tape.
5) Wipers work intermittently and the left turn signal will not go back to off normally. Replace Stalk??
6) Stereo system needs major attention as I am an avid A/V guy and have been in the business for most of my life. I am thinking Eclipse double DIN HU, Dynaudio speakers (because I have them), 10W7 in HO box and 300/4 & 500/1 JL amps
7) Missing center console. Junk yard or is there a better alternative?
On board air compressor is not working for the rear air shocks. WIll most likely replace with 5,000 rear air bags and may be part of a complete redo of front and rear air bag system. Any suggestions?? No knowledge what so ever.
9) Needs Front seat covers and steam clean second and third row.
10) Overall detail needed and a good pressure washing of the undercarriage to check for leaks and or possible issues.
I am not trying to make this a show winner but have an idea of what I want and now that it is in my driveway I can start with the basics and go from there.
