Okay, now I'm having issues with my brakes...when I press the pedal I get a burst of air followed by a continous stream/hiss of air as I hold the pedal down...it sounds like someone holding the trigger down on a compressor's air-hose...it also causes the truck to rev up which makes it harder to stop, and then the idle pretty much bottoms out almost stalling it... Any ideas on what could be the problem here? Ya'll feedback is appreciated...

Your brake booster is bad, its loosing vacuum and causing the engine to idle up to compensate, replace the booster.

id check the vacume hose first.

Yeah prob the booster but wouldn't hurt to check the hose first to see if its off or anything wrong with it.

What kinda price range am I looking at for a booster? I'd be glad to have an idea ahead of time...I won't be able to get it to a shop until at least Monday.........

Sounds like booster to me... or the check valve on the booster screwed up.... But a new boost will come with a new check valve..

Another quick question: How would I determine which is the "Low" port for my A/C to recharge it???

THANX for all the replies..."busted brake booster diaphragm" is the diagnosis, a nice $287 repair bill LOL........

wow 287 try a used one thats what i did. i think i ended up with a good one for about 100 or so. also if u dont have the cash just take a piece of hose and clamp it to the booster vacuum port and block it off with a plug do the same to the vacuum line and woilah! u will have to push a hell of a lot harder to stop but i did it for a week until payday to get a new one
