oh and i forgot to mention i am gonna use the stock leafs mounts up front and just add on to them for the top mounting brackets so that will be a factor in how long they can be toothe longer the bars the less pinion change, get a parallel 4 link mount like the ones from suicide doors, it will look cleaner. the reason i ask what the material is, is because different stainless has different tensile, shear etc strength so it may perform differently in this application then regulat DOM tubing.

The pinion won't change if the center to center of the axle bracket holes and the frame brackets are the same. The thing that changes is the front to back movement of the axle. If they are too short the driveshaft will push into the tranny or carrier bearing depending on how much play you have in the slip yokes.

Oh and like Joe is saying, the stainless grade is a concern.

I have a 97 chevrolet shortbox and My bars at 33 inchs on center for the lower bars. That is in the factory front leaf spring mounts, I also took out the factory gas tank cross member and put a cross member in so that the upper bars are 33 inchs also.
