how about the harbour freight models ? are they easy to use? how about bending multiple bends into one piece, like maybe something for a bridge or something like that? anyone had any real problems from the harbour freight unit?

They're pretty easy to use. It's pretty much a hydraulic bottle jack with rollers. You can put multiple bends in a piece of piping as long as the bends aren't too close together since the rollers may restrict how close the bends are. We've used the harbor freight pipe bender on all of the bridges and crossmembers that we've done.

The HF benders work alright if you're bending thick stuff. Like 3/16" to 1/4" wall tube. I have a pro tools bender, but only have a 1" die. So I use heavy wall tubing and a pipe bender for now. Works well, but could be better.

i know this is an old thread. but there are alot of people that dont know you can make a 180 degree bend with the hf bender. you have to make 3 bends to do it.
