4-Links Under Braking

That video is crap. Few months ago I was discussing the same issue with a good friend of mine while we were out making deliveries. I told him reverse 4's blow balls and we got into a slug match right there. Well, in the middle of all this some dumb fuck hops across the road and my buddy jams the brakes to floor with the force of a gorilla. I was like, "Damn good thing you gots a forward 4 on this rig". He replied, "Yeah, I agree....but my shit faces backwards assface". I was like, Oh shit! Then he yells at the dude," I'll rip your ears off and shove'em up your ass next time rabbit!" This guy yells back, "Go to hell Santa!", and launches some multi-colored eggs at us.....Anyway, that's how I know that video is a fake.

ok, im gonna defend the reverse 4 link. for starters. about how long of 4 link bar was used to put together the simulation done for the video ? i built a tacoma a while back with 36" long bars and the thing stops on a friggin dime. you dont even get a feeling of weight shift it just stops. i think the fact of the bars being so long, creates a sort of leverage situation. the truck can bring its rear weight over a 20" link bar much easier than a 36". otherwise i cant tell you that this isnt true, i just know you dont feel it. only other thing i can think of is that i did have to run some seriously stiff shocks, this may help to control the weight transfer better than an average shock.

I seriously doubt you slammed on the brakes at 50+ miles an hour to a screaching halt. "Stop on a dime" in a parking lot and stop sign is a different story.

no i didnt just exactly do a certain mph test to try and make it do it, but i did drive the truck for a while so it got quite a few real world situations. enough that im comfortable with everything. it might not work ideally, but im happy with it. if it ever fails yall will read about it and if it ever happens ill publicly withdraw my support of a reverse 4. till then, all i can go with is my personal findings.

what about a 50/50 4 link top reverse bottom forward???

I do know when i gas on my truck the rear raisees instead of droping. whys that?

I wish i was dumb enough to argue b/c it would make great entertainment Threads like this go to shit without some arguements... Ok... reverse 4 links are better than forward because you can do nose wheelies Proportion all the brakes to the front and you might find yourself on the roof

OK a few question about the test. What vehicle was used, were the brakes set up with the same proportioning valve setup a truck has? If someones gonna do this test use real trucks. One of the guys in our club had to slam the brakes on at 65mph on the highway with a reverse facing 4 link, and it didn't go out of control or have the rear lift off the ground! I know this cause i was right behind him.
