the only way the rear would not lift is if you were driving really low with the lower bars between 0* and 45* to the ground if thet fall between 315* and 359*

between 0-45 the truck will have to work against the bars to lift but over that the truck will pull over them.

To get a better idea of this those of you with reverse 4 links just raise them to full lock and then get on the brakes.

well that helps to explain why i didnt notice the change under braking. at ride height the bars on the taco are about 10-15 degrees. makes much better sense now.

it doesnt mean that it couldn't happen it would just take more force. Same thing applies to a foreward 4 link when driving in reverse, the same forces apply. In typical driving the foreward cant be pulled under like the reverse unless it rips it mounts off of the frame.

With abs it dosnt matter if your rear end goes up that is not going to change the force of stopping on your front tires maby your rear as soon as the suspension maxes out. I have done mulitple reverse links, Set up correctly it will ride like a caddy. My persional vehicle being one of my reverse link projects. I have done multiple 2 links they have major disadvantages. the model in the video would need to be built to scale with an equal weight ratio for that to be accurate. Also the majority of modifications that most of you ppl do is unsafe why be worried about your rear end lifting. great argument, but there is no point to argue it people are going to do what they like. My 3 cents

Wow Never knew this was on here ha ha,

After many many E-mails on those vids. I plan to re visit this myth ha ha.

People said I set it up wrong.

Both vids had the EXACT same setup I just flipped the link setup from front to back. same speed same brake force the works.

But I will re do it lol, also with a 2 link at 50/50.

Nice to see the healthy debate Awesome!

Doug,
If you're setting it up again, would you also do a setup with the lower bars forward and the upper bars to the rear?
Also, acceleration comparisons would be sweet...
Thanks for showing people the realities of suspension geometry in a way that most everyone can understand. Of course, all of the motions shown in your clips are exaggerated because of the scale your model is built to, but it still shows what can happen under extreme conditions! Thanks again!
