what is this and where does it plug into?

i took a look at my stock carb off my 86' and it has the same wire and it went to a little counter sunk groove on the back of the alternator it was hard to see so i had to feel around. hope this helps.

ok I found it. I never would have even thought that went there had I not asked. but now that I have it hooked up what does it do?

if you hit 88 mph u may have to tighen the flux capacitor with a metric cresant wrench and a left handed screw driver lol!!!
