2x4 will lay rocker 2x3 will hold but be a bit flexable use 2x4 if you plan on high HP

use 2x4 regardless, if you use 2x3 as a single rail you will get some flexing issues behind and infront of the cab. you could prolly bodydrop 3 1/2" with 2x4 tubing without cutting into the floor.

thanx for the info. when you weld it, do you weld the wwhole length of the frame, or just put some pretty good stitch weld in a bunch of places.

you mean puttin the tubin inside the stock frame? i just stitch weld it, like a 1 1/2" weld every 8-10 inches.

you cut your front clip off, build a frame table, measure the mounting points of your body mounts, tranny etc, and then get cracking on the frame.

thats alot of work though, i did my frame in like 2 weeks for my fullsize, and it still looks clean, and factory-like.
