thanks guys! gonna order clear cab lights, new headlights and markers, and some taillights this weekend, as well as attempt to make my own dually fender lights, cause i cant find aftermarket ones ANYWHERE. also gonna smooth the front bumper, and paint it black, as well as paint the grill shell and some other minor fixes.

When you figure what to do with the fender markers let me know as I have been looking to make them to be clear for so long..

That looks really good. I really like the tinted windshield. Looks great! Truck is coming along nice. Any word on the wheels yet?
pjsbird   +1y
Actually the windshield isn't tinted. The rest of the truck is though.

The wheels are on hold for right now, I'm just starting a new job so once my finances have stabled out ill get back on it. I have a guy locally that will sell 22.5" for $100 each used, and another guy selling 24.5" for 120 each. So I'm on the fence. I want to go bigger, but I don't wanna destroy the driveability.

Is it possible to even run 24s with a static? Or do the hit the leaf springs?

love the truck man. as far as the wheels go, those are good/average prices for non milled wheels. so , good find !! just be careful and hope there not damaged, stress cracked ect. thats the only downside to buying used, but that doesnt scare me, haha as im going to buy used also. i hear ya on the 24s as opposed to 22s. i really want to run 24s but i dont know yet. but to answewr your question, yes, you can run 24s on a static. i dont know if you can run all 6 24s on a static, unless you run a c&c . im not positive. but, most guys run 24s on the outside and teen inners on the inside. check out wideload c 30s truck. hes fucking slammed static wise. hes got like a 6/10 drop or something nuts. and hes on 24s with teen inners.

Oh yeah, I forgot that if I'm running teenage inners than the wheels won't get any closer to the frame. And to run a c&c rear I'll have to move spring mounts etc... I do plan on bagging this beast eventually, I have all the stuff for the front. But for now I just wanna sit low, with big wheels.

Do the 24s destroy turning radius with the factory 1 ton hubs and arms?

Is a 245/30/22 too small a tire to run on a truck this size? I only ask cause I already have a set of these tires kicking around.
lockone   +1y
Chevy truck have a terrible turning radius anyways no matter if you have stock wheels or big wheels. You will lose a bit with bigger wheels but not much.

I would think twice about running that small of a tire because the first pothole or bad bridge interchange they are done. I had 255/30/22s on my boddied Chevy and we had to swerve/slowdown to miss everything in the road.

Welcome fellow BCer

What size drop do you have? I have a 92 Extra Cab dually and have been debating what drop to do on stock 16" Alcoa wheels.

No idea what the drop is! Haha. Tucking tire? I bought it this low
