tubing notcher

just wondering what you guys are using for notching tubing? I might be looking for something small for my home shop.

I asked about this a while back, and got alot of mixed opinions.. I was ready to order one of the $50-$70 range ones that can be used with a hand drill, but heard stories of them injuring people or something. Got alot of suggestions pointing towards the "PipeMasters" I'm pretty sure they were called, but those were more for marking the tubing and getting the angles right I guess then you'd still use a plasma or grinder.. I need to find out the best route also though.. so if you figure it out let me know.

my uncle has one i really want...its the belt sander style that you change the dies on and then the tubing gets clamped in and the sander notches it but i doubt hell part with it.

try lowbuck tools lever style notcher. neat clean and quick notches. will work with dom, they just aint aware of it. it is a little expensive [300.00}, but it is the best notcher ive used yet for the money

^ wouldnt work with solid or square stock tho

not sure about non round stuff but iff i can find the direction (link) ill post it for notching round tubing with a chop saw, ive heard its very accurate!!

I'm using a Scotchman 6' belt sander. But little expensive about 6g

joint jiggers or jigga-joints can be from about $80-300. use your own drill and a set of hole saws.

Hand grinder...

I'd realy like to see the way to do it with a chop saw.
