Man, I wish I coulda got a guess in, I was on the money! Can't wait to see it. For the rear I'd prolly go with a two link so the rear would work more like a swingarm and limit the side to side articulation. Could you imagine trying to take a turn or a curve with a rear that would lean from side to side? It'd flip faster than a gymnist. Good luck, Brad
Thx, I hopefully be able to order so wheels from you this fall. I'm the one on Facebook that has been asking you questions.
Yep, you would of had it right. I was thinking of some way to still use the leaf springs with airbags, but I know I can't get it low enough. The trike never needs to get real high off the ground, just over speed bumps. Thats is what I was thinking, two fat thick bars from the frame to the axle like a swing arm, and then one big fat panhard bar. But I would like the trike to be raised about 12 inches from the ground if I want to. I was wondering if the panhard bar would cause the 2 link to bind with that much lift?
I was also wondering if a better way to go is to just order a complete rear suspension and bag kit from like, Airbagit.com?
I would stay away from airbagit.com unless you like sub-par craftmanship, quality, customer service, etc. I have had good luck with airlift and air ride technologies. I always use djm or belltech on spindles.
I have had an airbar kit from air ride tech on my dually for 10 years without any problems, heavy duty, fits well, etc. I do need to put new bushings in it, but other than that great product.
Thanks for the info, but I will only be air bagging the the rear of the trike.
