well the paint on my truck was a little oxidized so i figured it might come back through when i paint it. well i decided to take it down to bare metal just to make that nothing like that will happen. here are my questions

what type of primer should i use?

should i do the body work on the bare metal or over the primer?

what is the best way to make sure that all the body work is perfect?

do your body work on bare metal. next spray an etching primer, then regular primer

okay so here is my plan of attack:

-strip to bare metal

-apply body filler and sand with 80 then finish with 180

-spray the whole truck with an etching primer

-then spray with a urethane primer 2-3 coats

-spray a rattle can paint for a guide coat

-block the car with 180

-then reprime 1 coat of eurathane primer and sand with 400-600

-finally use a good urethane sealer 1 coat.

look okay to you guys?

i didn't think its good to spray etching primer over filler spots, just cause of the acid, i guess i was wrong

i wouldn't use the etching just a good epoxy for the bare spots and then 2k high build the rest
