Painted Dash in an 89 GT

Has anyone here painted their stock dash in their 89-92 rangers? What's the best method to get the dash smoothed and painted to match the body? Please help me out, I need to get this done sooner than later to get my truck on the road, thanks guys....

is it just hard plastic? if so you can just sand it down smooth, prime and paint.

wipe it down w/ thinner to get all teh years of armol all off it. then spray on some plastic adhesion promotor, prime it block it prime then paint like normal. after its out of the truck of course.
