What does the colored line run for price compared to the black stuff you can get from suicide doors? Is it the same sort of line just colored?

I have all stainless braided lines on my truck that I got made at the local Parker store. They dont leak, look great are easy to run and you can weld around them and not worry about getting a hole in your line. Although you cant fix them on the side of the road and they are expensive I consider them cheap insurance.

i have no SLAC,NO SAG,NO worries and mine is bullet proof copper. the only copper you see on mine is at the notch in the rear, other than that, thats is. like stainless cause it looks good but thats about all i like it for. this is just my 2 cents on this.......

were you dropped on your head as a child, copper is not too soft, and if you use the right type it will not get brittle. I use the same copper used on airbrake systems on big rigs for years. And you say you put no slack in your stainless line, well great, because when your frame flexes and you line cannot it will put undo stress on you line, and guess what, stainless is brittle too, when it is used outside of its designed abilities, and it too can break.

Copper is fine for a daily driven truck, if you use the right kind ( not the home depot stuff ) and it will not leak if installed properly, nor will it work harden, or vibrate loose. Just use what is within your budget, and who give a shit if the line under your cab is blinged out, unless it is s trailer queen and you put it up on jackstands at shows to show off your chromed bodymounts and exhaust system.

Ok, so what is the right kind of copper. If I was going to purchase some, I would purchase it from my uncle who is a propane parts wholesalers and sells just about everything to do with propane, Is there a specific specification on the copper rating that I need to make sure it has? I already have Compression fitting that I ran last year, Just looking for something that looks little cooler then just black plastix hose. Thanks Again

Type L I believe...and if you can use the compressions with the ferrule in the centre, they work better. And make sure to secure the line down, then it won't even have a chance to work harden from flexing and all that good stuff.

You can buy Type L from Home Depot and Lowes
