Ok, so far you guys have been alot of help, I thanks you for that, Now I have been running the dot nylon line with compression fittings, I have been using the inner and outer crush sleeves, I tried one of the compression fittings on copper line and the outer one fits but the inner one is too small. Do I need to get another size or do you not use the inner sleeves with copper line? And one more thing, Have any of you guys used flared fittings rather then the compression fittings? What is the different in psi? Are there pluses and minuses to each?

I run copper with the dot fittings for copper with the inner crush sleave...I believe it fits right if you get the right fitting. And the line is good to 600 odd psi for the 1/2 inch size.... I am not sure which fitting is better, but I run 200 through my compressions daily.

Silver Star Customs sells some good fittings to use with copper line. They are made by Legris.

just wondering do any of you who run copper lines have a problem with it oxidizing? i know regular copper will turn a dark green color when it begins to oxidize.

I have never run hard lines on a truck but I do A/C and the copper that I use takes along time to turn that green color. Find an HVAC supply house and you can get any size in a 50ft roll for cheap. Compression fittings work but use the ones with the crush seal. Flaring the tube is also good but more work and requites the flare tool and fittings. Out of round tube can be fixed with a cressant wrench, just find a spot on the tube that isn't crushed and adjust the wrench to that size, then use that size to round out the crushed spot. Works great on 1/2" and larger soft copper. sorry so long

I thought about running cooper but heard to many bad things about it. So I am using steel braided hydraulic line. Good to 4800 psi and i don't see it leaking anytime soon.
