microsoft picture it is nice for editing pics and touching up not rendering hell i tried using Corel Paint pro X .... NOTHING works as good as adobe for your high end effects and tools. I think most would agree with that.

you can get renderings for a fair price if you know what you want and where to look. i dont charge much and 918 designs is also a discount site for renderings but its your preference.

take it easy man

i think i've wrote a novel on this topic in another thread. but basicly... learn the program, and then do renderings. Start out with useing all the tools down the bar, learn some of the stuff on the top menu, etc. take a bunch of tutorials, don't just use the ones on photoshopjunkie.com and other rendering sites. actually go to photoshop sites and run through tutorials even if they don't apply to renderings, but in reality they have a lot more to do with em then you think. it's all about learning to program and then using what you've learned and apply it towards a truck. after that point, when you know what some things are and you get to know what things are called, it'll become a lot easier when you ask help from guys like RJ or people in the forums. so take the time to learn and don't rush. most of all, have fun.... late

PHOTOSHOP is made by adobe.. and its an actual program.. and at least some basic steps to using it.. and maybe one or two basic tutorials... it would save everyone the eyesore of lookin at.. how do i get started threads every other day...

photoshop isnt easy.. if you buy it.. buy photoshop classroom in a book too.. and read it a few times and practice.. general knowledge of the program before u use it.. is generally a good thing

jsut a thought,i already have microsoft picture it! 2001 that came with my pc,will that work?has anyone ever used it?i've gotten pretty handy with it.

To each there own, but I don't think you can get the same look as Photoshop is capable of doing (I don't know Microsoft Picture it though). The programs legit business version is around $1200 but I think you can get a student copy for around $300. A rendering can range any where from $75 to I have heard as high as $600's for KEG's, mine run $100 to 300.-rjya photoshop is a pricey program...

No pun tended. I think that is awesome if you can get that. In fact it's what some of them should be worth by the time you get done with them.

^^ I think we should all just make that the starting price, no more of these assholes with "$75 gets u everything!" renderings. granted they look good too, but i think we all agree that renderings are way under priced for the time we put into them
