Got the ragtop 2 weeks earlier then expected and installed it this past weekend (thanks Ricky).
More pics on my profile! Its 35x35 canvas. It ate a lot of the headliner but I think I could have went 40 wide. Either way, I am happy and its been nice every day so its been open and I love it!!
i did mine last friday and I was thinkin the same thing.... should have gone 40 wide but what are u gonna do right? not really worth buyin a diffrent one hehe looks good ill put up some pick of mine in my ranger.... I got the tan on the black truck though
looks good man...I want a rag top so bad....how bad was the install?
its fuckin easy 2 hours.... we were drinkin and shit so mine is off an 1/8 of a inch to the driver side... I think its gonna be harder to make the headliner look right. When u tighten the ragtop by the windshield dont do one at a time.... do a turn on each until they are tight go back and forth. my buddy chris told me not to tighten eachone by its self but i was drinkin to it seemed like an okay idea and now I have ripples by each bolt hehe. When u do urs try not to drink no good comes of it hehe. later
alcohol and tools do not mix well.
got a 35x35 sitting in my livingroom to put in a buddys excab s-10. gonna be a bitch to pull the headliner, but thats the only grief i really expect. what are you guys using to cut the roof out? i have a nibbler which would work great, but it makes a lot of mess.
WE used a jigsaw with the a fine metal blade
i have the 35x40 and i pretty much don't have a roof. i used a sawzall and it took like two hours to install, really easy just getting the headliner bakck in is tough
if your using a jigsaw make sure that you put tape on your roof to protect paint because if metal chips get caught under the jig saw they make nice scratches
yea make sure its a thick line not just one layer.
