hmmm, that doesnt make sense to me. read ur manual, or hit up a local shop u think u can trust. only time my amps get power is when my power cable is in. and yes, your amp is getting power, without the power cable one way or another, probably ur remote wire

i take that back, my amp only SHOWS its getting power is with my remote in, but if i take out the power wire, i dont believe it would show a protect light. though ive never had this problem...u mayof just blown an input or output device at the plug...

y man i have no clu wat to do.this has never happened.wat do u mean at the plug?

where u plug ur RCA's into, the input may of burnt up, inside, or could be the same on the output side.

shit happens with amps that some cant explain easily, electronics VERY tricky. download your manual, or buy it, or find a shop with it, or read it if you have it. it should explain ALL combinations of protection light patterns. blink 1 times a second, 4 times a second, sustains for 2 seconds, flashes 2 times then sustain for 4 seconds, it depends on the amp on the patterns it gives out.
