so does it not have to be there??? Im helping soloma with this and we thought it had to be there for the truck to run??!! This truck is a '99 sonoma with a 2200 4 banger in it, if we can get rid of it how do we block off the lines??? THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP GUYS!!!!!!!!!

i got rid of mine i have a '95 but its all the same. just take it off and loop one hose back into the system where u had two hoses before.

Im pretty sure you have to keep it if it has the little electric module thing. If there isnt something attatched to it that has an electrical connection id toss it.

i have a 2001 s10 and i moved mine under the filler neck on the frame..if u put it there its outta the way and u dont have to extend anything...just bend them to fit

just eliminate it all you will have is a check engine light but those can we cleared or leave the sensor in tack

i just took the bracket and wleded it onto the ouside of the frame....that way the hoses are the same leangth and the bed covers it....someone would have to lay down, and try to look through your wheel to see it....i found that that works the best and you don't have to make a new bracket either

I know this isnt about a sonoma but do all new trucks have them, i have a 02 dakota and my gas tank is in the bed now, is it safer to run the box on there. Just wondering

I Mounted mine on the gastank x-member, worked fine for me....
