installing suicidedoors front torsion brackets on a toyota

does anyone have a how to, on installing these brackets on a yota? I took it all apart yesterday and im a little overwhelmed. Also is there a trick to gettin the ball joints outta the spindle?

Use a pickle fork.

did you use drop spindles or stock spindles? also are the long curved peices that come in the SD kit only for nissan or something?

They are to angle the bag if needed. Ricky didn't use them. His suspension is better to look at than mine because of how modified mine is.

his doesnt lay out in the front? i think it was you who told me i didnt have to have drop spindles to lay?

ive already got drop spindles though, i just cant get the damn ball joints out of the stock ones. Ive tried a pickle fork and everything. So ill prolly go and buy new ball joints and put em in the drop spindles since there beat up now anyway. $price? unless it really not needed and i can just use the stock ones?

I think they are around $25-35 each new at the parts store. You don't need drop spindles to lay, but if you have them you will have less camber. Its all in preference.

Honestly, hit the pickle fork harder. Get a 2 lb hammer and beat the shit out of the end. They'll pop loose. You can use the stock ones if you get them out, and they're aren't torn to hell. Most are however, in my experience. I got mine out without tearing, but thats about it.

yea mine are torn. ill just buy new ones and put em in the drop spindles, might as well use em since i got em. thank for the info it helped alot. any other tips you can throw at me would be appreciated im getting up early tomarrow to go at it b4 work.

Umm, take everything apart. Like disconnect the steering linkage from the spindles and everything before trying to pull them off. Clean stuff up before welding. Its pretty straight forward once you get to it.
