If your not going to use the BallJoints You should try hitting them out on top of the stud with a small sledgehammer. A good brass or lead sledge is good because it won't mar the hell out of it. I used to use a fork but they tend to bust open the balljoint rubber. The best way to bag your Toyota up front is to cut out that part in the RedI drew it up real quick. hope that helps.

Ohh, and don't forget to reinforce the part you cut out. Basicly fill the gap between the boxed frame and the lower control arm subframe with a piece of 1/4" (use a piece of posterboard for a template.).

Kyle, that pic is AWESOME

saved it in my install pic folder, since its pretty much exact same spot i cut and sometimes my real pics dont show how high as easy.

luke, my truck doesnt lay due to tire/wheel combo.. any pics youve seen of my truck, i had 215/35/18s and stock spindles, and didnt wanna flip balljoints. what mainly matters is jacking lower control arm up all the way before setting brackets in place.. so you know your truck will sit as low as possible (depending on if tires hit anything) then you can see if you need spindles too.

also are the long curved peices that come in the SD kit only for nissan or something?

they make good drag plates lol. but like seth said, we just kinda angle the upper bracket accordingly to match the LCA's angle when laid out. some people (i guess to use right angle gussets) weld it straight out.. so the angles of the 2 brackets dont match.. and the L shape thing (aka thickass drag plate) can change the angle.

but hey once you get started, take alot of pics

how much should i expect to cut off the end of the top bracket? i know there is no way you leave it the length they send it to you right?

I think from the center of the bolt holes on it, i marked 2.75 and cut it there. I had enough scrap from that to easily fill the gap in the frame. Just be sure the bag doesn't rub anything.
