I bought 8 of these 250psi valves and finally got to install them on my ride. Now I have a problem with 7 of them leaking some of them even leaking up..... I took them apart to make sure that there was no tears, or anything in them,or that there was no junk stuck to the diaphram..... Still leaks and now when I get to a cruise night, I have to get out and unplug one of my rear lines so it doesn't leak up. Is there anything that I could to to help make them close all the way,and stop the leaking? Some people said put a little bit of spray oil or Vasaline on them, but I don't want to put anything on until I get some more opinions. Thanks for your help.

gc's usually leak when you first get them installed, put a little compressor oil, a little into the intake line for each valve and it should fix em right up within a few hours of up and down/

I HAD THE SAME PROB WITH MY 250'S. MIKE AT GRAVITY-WERX HAS A NEW VERSION OF THEM. THEY ARE STILL THE 250 BUT HAVE A BLUE COIL ON THEM. I'VE HAD THEM FOR OVER A YEAR NOW AND STILL HAVEN'T HAD ANY TROUBLE. OR CALL GC AND THEY'LL SEND YOU NEW DIAPHRAMS FOR FREE. GOOD LUCK.

I talked to Blake from GC recently and I'm pretty sure he mentioned several times how we shouldn't use any type of lubricant in the valves. I think because certain lubes and all can damage the diaphrams and other parts.

I'd definitely contact him and get his input.. or possibly discuss exchanging the valves. He's a cool guy and down to help out when theres ever a problem with GC valves.

you know ricky, ive heard that as well but ive had some gc's with ;compressor oil running through them on occasion and they have not leaked more than a few times in the past year or almost even 2 now, so i guess this means what they say is not the only solution. but hey, follow the rules or youll void the warrantee.
