I talked to Blake from GC recently and I'm pretty sure he mentioned several times how we shouldn't use any type of lubricant in the valves. I think because certain lubes and all can damage the diaphrams and other parts.

I'd definitely contact him and get his input.. or possibly discuss exchanging the valves. He's a cool guy and down to help out when theres ever a problem with GC valves.

blake.young@gcvalves.com

you know ricky, ive heard that as well but ive had some gc's with ;compressor oil running through them on occasion and they have not leaked more than a few times in the past year or almost even 2 now, so i guess this means what they say is not the only solution. but hey, follow the rules or youll void the warrantee.

yea i know what you mean, ive un-stuck a few old valves too with gallons of air tool oil & WD i was just letting him know just in case since he mentioned them being new, and fixing them himself might not be necessary since Blake would probably warranty them.

yeah blandin, and it is not like a gc master dist is 5 minutes from your house. god forbid you have to call us to have us fix the problem. gc has stood behind every problem they have been dealt.

I've used graphite to lube up the valves. It is a dry lubricant and you can buy it at any parts store. That is why you don't buy piece of sh*t GC valves. I had 10 out 16 that I bought leak or get stuck. They were the GC 450's. Spend the money on some Parkers.

I just got a call from GC valves yesterday and they are gonna send me all new valve diaphrams. I really appreciate all the help from you guys and I let them know all of the good words that all of you had to say about them.
