95 Chevy Dually Diesel questions

i am about to trade for a 95 crew cab Chevy dually that is a diesel. Does anyone know anyone that makes any performance parts for these model diesel. All I could find was parts for new model Duramax engine. And has anyone ever heard of Duallies with diesel motors not getting as much lift with bags in the front as a dually with gas motor?

i have heard of a kit to where you can put a true diesel in that truck. It will let a cummins bolt right in.

Real diesels were never designed as a v engine design. A real true diesel is always been a inline design..

Yeah, the motor in that truck is like the worst diesel ever made. I would try to find one with a 454. You can deffinatley find parts for that.

ditto on the poo engine. those 6.5s are not worth the time or money.

well u can put 2800 in the ft wit does help on teh weight and lift as far as the motor put a Duramax in it

UPGRADE THE TURBO'S, THE INJECTOR PUMP, EXHAUST UPGRADES PROPANE INJECTIONS. FOR A GENERAL OVER VIEW, LOOK AT BANKS TURBO'S SITE. THATS WHAT THEY SPECIALIZE IN. AND AS FOR A "TRUE DIESEL"? THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME A CHUCKLE. I NEEDED THAT. CUMMINS, CAT AND DETROIT ALL MAKE "V-8" DIESEL MOTORS IN VARIOUS SIZED. WHEN I WAS A KID MY DAD HAD A SMALL V-8 CAT MOTOR IN HIS CHEVY DUALLY. FORGIVE MY MEMORY, I DONT RECALL WHAT SERIES IT WAS. NOT TO MENTION THE HEMMITT (FOR THOSE MILITARY GUYS) HAS AN 8V92TA, WHICH IS A TURBO CHARGED AND SUPERCHARGED V-8 DIESEL MOTOR. I GUESS IF YOU WANT TO BE TECHNICAL, THE CHEVY 6.2 IS BASED ON THE SMALL BLOCK CHEVY GAS BLOCK, SO THAT COULD BE A "FAKE DIESEL"...LOL

Well i have worked on the 6.2 and 6.5 in the military and can not say that i like either one of them. But it is easy to put a turbo on the 6.5 and i am sure that i can get one of my friends to hook you up with parts from the Military so let me know.

Well that sux... the reason I ask is I have a Crew cab Harley Davidson its an 01 and I was thinking about trading for Dually from Jim @ KILLERRIDES in Texas...the red and black one on 19" Brentz wheels. Now I am not sure if the motor sucks that bad. OOOh and my Ford is bone stock 01 = no supercharger. What does everyone think I should do. Also have person with dually with 454 but basically stock. Give me some opinion on what to do.
