airbrush

I'm wanting to get an airbrush here in the next week or so and start working with them, but i'm not sure on what to get. i wana get something nice, but try and stay under $250, if i can. I've looked around on the net and on here, and i see the iwata HPC plus come up alot, but then i thought i saw something abuot it being discontinued.

What do u guys recomend?

the HPC plus is a real good all around gun. That's the one i've got and i love it. Very easy to clean and easy to use. About being discontinued, i don't think so and i hope not. cause i need a new tip for mine... lol

i don't think they're discontinued... i was going to get one, but ended up getting a revolution instead, almost the same as the hpc+ but a bigger tip... haven't played too much yet with it, but it does spray really nice from what i've seen so far! you'd definitely want the smaller tip for "artistic" type work, but I only wanted one for shading flames and really basic shit...

everything i've seen and read points to Iwata as the best though, so I'd stick with them and buy once rather than need to upgrade later...

oh, check ebay too dude, there's some pretty cheap deals out there on them! and hobby lobby just ran a 1/3 off on all airbrushes too, so they probably run that every so often and they carry Iwata too.

checked hobby lobby on the way to work, they had 2 iwatta, the revolution, and some other one, so they either don't carry the hpc+ or they sold out for now, but i'll keep looking around

hobby lobby will jack you. go to a supply store or ebay...

bearair.com they have all asorted types and prices.

I dunno Dougy, I walked out w/ a HP-CR and a 10ft hose for $84 total... that 1/3 off made them fairly cheap I thought... but yeah, regular price isn't a deal for sure...

and bearair doesn't carry iwata anymore...

ya, i do know bearair stopped selling them. i think that's why people got the impression they were 'discontinued'

but all my experiences with HL are shitty, the Paasche VL that was my first gun. I got for a lil over $100 @ HL but got onto bearair and they sold em for like $40... i was pissed, but i was just gettin started so i had no idea
