I bought one off the Snap-On truck, it was $140, and it seems to be a good gun, havent really used it that much, but when I did I seen very good results, good for a first timer anyway, LOL

well this is my last post for the month cause i'm too poor/lazy to get a membership, lol

But anyways, i went by the paint supply shop about 20 minute ago and they carry the iwata eclipse for i think 160ish and in a package with a compressor, hoses, i think a avideo, and some stencils for like 390. What do you guys think abuot that gun as compared to the hpc+?

Thanks alot guys

I'd recommend the Iwata HP-SBS. Essentially it's the same basic airbrush as already mentioned, however, it is a side feed, which means it functions as both a gravity feed or syphon feed depending on if you use the cup or bottle. For large jobs where you don't want to refill the paint, you can use the bottle. I've had mine for a number of years.

One thing about the Iwata's, keep the O-rings properly lubed. They dry out depending on what solvent you use to clean your brush with. Doesn't hurt to have a few extra o-rings on hand.

If you feel strongly that you'll stick with it, the Iwata HP-C will be just what the doctor ordered. I've always gotten good SERVICE and good prices through Dixie Art supply.

yes, its def something i wanna stick with, i wanna make it a career eventually

the hpc was what i origanally had my eye on, but what it the biggest difference between the hpc+ and the eclipse?

doesn't the hpc+ have alittle more detail ability than the eclipse?

The HP-C comes with a .3mm tip/needle combo and is gravity feed, wereas the Eclipse I think is .35mm. So yes, the HP-C will spray a slightly finer line. Having not used an Eclipse, I'd say it's specs put it a close second to the HP-C but if you do go with the Eclipse, I'd get the gravity feed 1/3 oz. cup myself.
