the CTD is the best hands down. What kind of tranny are you lookin for?

if you throw on an edge tuner, you can eaisly shoot over 600 hp and close to 800lbs ft. also eaisly repairable.

there is no question.

not a big fan of fords (not tring to start shit) i was just thinking that the cummin's has been around so long, it's got to be dialed, but i'm a chevy guy so i do like the duramax, ANYONE GOT STORIES ABOUT THERE DESIAL? BREAKDOWNS?

I am a ford man but i work at a dodge dealer and the dodge's are the top of the diesel. I had a 97 ford PS and the new dodge kills it. I pulled a new jeep to FL with one with a six speed set the cruise on 90 and set back. There are truck that I service with way over 200.000 that are as strong as ever. stay away from the aftermarket stuff it will kill your war. the ram diesel has a 100.000 mile coverage on the motor it has all the real power you need. just my 2cent DODGE ALL THE WAY.....

like I said, the CTD is the only way to go. i dont mind duramaxes, i havent heard any bad storries about them, the allison trannys they are paired with are the best you can find. anything powerstroke , in my oppinion, is worthless. Im sure a new powerstroke could last yo quite a long time, but they just arent as dialed in as the DMX or CTD.

think about it, out of the three, which have you heard peroblems with. the powerstroke is definetly the most problematic, i have only heard of one bad stock duramax. i am much more exposed to the CTDs and have heard of 3 blown. but all three were using banks and some other tuners, one was pushing 650hp and the other two were at 800hp with no engine strengthining!!!

im up for a small debate, what else do you guys think? the more info we get, the more we know.

Ford 6L Power Stroke Turbo Diesel:

V8 - 325HP & 570 lb.-ft. of torque

Dodge 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel:

Inline 6 - 305HP & 610 lb.-ft. of torque

The Cummins Turbo Diesel will outlast and outperform the Joke Stroke hands down.

To be honest, I dont know why anyone still buys Ford trucks, when it comes to reliability.
