I,ve got 2 powerstrokes right now. I have a 2002 F-250 which is at ford right getting a brand new motor at 130,000 miles $11,000 worth of new motor. And I have a 95 F-450 which is doing ok except for I cant go over 55MPH cause if I do the the pressure becomes to high in the high pressure oil pump that it leaks about a gallon every 30 minutes. When it comes time to buy a new work truck I'll be getting a duramax. The cummins is a strong motor but the trannys they put behind them sux....I've seen all 3 trucks work hard and the duramax's seem to be doing better than the Fords or the Dodges.....

The guy who dose all mechanical work on my tahoe he had a 01 F250 powerstroke with all the aftermarket disel goodies and he loved it but sold it because he needed a dully he then went and bought a brand new 04 f-350 dually and he put a exhast and a programer on it and he wasnt over extending the motor by adding to much power to it and it started fucking up took it to for and it had some problems again long story short he eneded up giving them a 04 f-350 with 30kmiles on it they had to give him a 05 f-350 cause his 04 was fucked. and now his 05 is fucked and leaking oil. so stay away from fords...he said the newer 7.3s like 98-01 are great motors and the 6.0s suck ass even though there more power stock they still suck with issues.

I posted a similar thread a few weeks ago. I decided on and purchased an 06 Chevy CC dually with the Duramax. I was torn between that and a Dodge. Reasons for the purchase...I got a better deal on the Chevy through my supplier discount. Also, the interior was more comfortable than the Dodge. I felt like I was sitting on wood boards when I sat in the Dodge. Just my input, but it's your decision.
