Theres no way an s10 is wider hub to hub than a fullsize truck. Are you talking about frame dimensions, and in the width of the frame under the cab? If this is the case your only using from the firewall forward on the new clip, you can match tou with under the cab no problem.

im not talking hub to hub, im talking rail to rail. my bad, didnt clarify that. but could i use the s10 clip and custom arms? Im getting the demensions hub to hub from a buddy of mine with a first gen, and i will get mine asap. Im guessing hub to hub is wider on mine, which would make sense, but does this mean mine uses longer arms than what the s10 would use?

you could do a bunch of stuff....if you wanna use a front clip just use the center section of it that holds the engine and control arm mounts, do an s10 clip....then just cut off the horns and use stock for your core support mount to it. Then you could lengthen the control arms quite a bit which will give you huge front lift to clear up to 26's and you could lengthen them to the point where you could run a huge dished rim, then just run some square or rectangle stock under the cab and you could get real trick and put a irs rear in it. that would be damn nice, you could even keep the width of the track pretty narrow so you can roll on 26s and still turn layin pretty low, in fact roll a mazda rx7 rearend and you could fit a fat ass huge dished rim in the back, you would have one bad ass truck in my opinion if you did that.

i like how your talking, but are you speaking of just running the crossmember? and running stock horns and all new rails? Thats how i take it. and im guessing you mean section the crossmember to my stock width?

i dont think i could ever clear 26's on this thing lol, the fneder wells are damn low. u tuck lugs on 20's lol. let alone fitting 26's under the hood. i would have to pull the top in so far it would look like a ranger lol. i get my welder today most likely, then im lookin for a front clip. first thing ill do is drop the horns prolly so i know how the front is going to mock up.

Hey dude, I have to say hell yeah on building this truck. I have a 68 short bed and several parts trucks. I am building mine as soon as I get out of the military. If you need any parts for this let me know.

the s10 and s10 blazer front clip is the same. they only change spring rates and spindles if im correct. Id run a narrow ass s10 clip on your truck with some long ass control arms and get like 15" of lift up front! Do bags on the bars on the back. rides better and gets 2x more lift. Youll have to change your bolt pattern to match the front though...

trucks n blazers are the same until 02 where the blazers went to the open spindle.

also, in the first gens, not sure on 2nd, but the blazer engine crossmember is 2.5-3" lower then the s10.. that is why the blazers use pedastools with engine mounts on top of them, the trucks dont.. if you use em with the truck the engine sticks throug hthe hood.

if anybody can measure an s10 hub to hub and let me know what it is, id appreciate it.

my truck is 64.43 hub to hub, so if its close by a couple inches, ill use it, if not i will have to start looking again.
