i asked somewhat the same question a couple of days ago, and have had 0 responses. if i find out, i'll let you know. I've heard the master cylinder is small enough to stay, you just have to get a smaller booster.

pretty much no one on here takes shit seriously they rather compare dick sizes i guess. i did find out that a chevy 7 inch will work fine they are around 100 bux and 200 bux in in chrome. plus depending on the year you may have some kinda computer hooked up to your proportioning valve. mY goal is to elminate all the computer shit in my truck. fuck i dont want power steering either.

What is the little filler neck that sits on the driver side that stickes out from the firewall, clutch fluid or something. I need to figure out what to do with that thing before I end up breaking it off.

i am going to use their 9in booster/master cyclinder combo kit and make my own brackets...it is like 189.00 or so

i know a few people used the jegs proportioning valve and the 7 inch booster. or you can just run manual brakes and recess the master cylinder in the firewall and have nothing on the firewall at all.

built, i'm with you on the no computer stuff, i'm gonna get rid of it when i put a carbed 350 in it, but until then, my father in law (a mechanic) sed there would be no problem doing away with the abs and keeping a booster, master cylinder, and proportion valve, he said abs only stops you about 2/10 of a second faster than regular, you just have to be careful to not lock them up. since mine's a show truck and not a daily driver, i'm going to do away with the abs. I've heard the 7" booster and dual diaphragm master cylinder from jegs will work, if i hear more, i'll let you know.

cool thanks for the input guys. i determined that i am going to use a 7 inch booster mastercylindar combo. they are about 220 for this set up in chrome. not to bad i guess. its going to be a hsow truck so might as well be pretty. I ll tell you im pulling out the vortec 4.3 over the last coulple of days and every screw and wire i remove makes me hate computers and modern shit even more. Just to take a header off i had to remove all thes aluminum brackets that hold the P/s pump etc. Like 10 sensors here and there. i know i wont miss that shit. its cheaper to put a 350 in, other wise i d be spending 1000s on chrome n shit and it would still look like hell and have problems. All i can say is if you are thinking bout doing any thing to make your life less complicated its worth it.

built, let me know where you get that master cylinder/booster/proportion valve combo, i saw it on jegs but it's $329. I'm with you on everything except shaving the power steering pump. I have a 10" go kart steering wheel, so i need all the help i can get. Also, can you let me know where you're relocating the computer stuff you can't ditch (like the fuse box on the drivers side fenderwell)? I'm putting in a 350 eventually, but i want to yank my stock fenderwells so i can lay. Preciate the help.
