Unsafe Vehicle ticket!!!!

I got an unsafe vehicle ticket in my truck. I didn't have to show any proof of correction but it cost me $700. It's a bunch of bulls$#t, all they want is your money. in my experience they didn't care if I fixed it or not.

Did he ask to search your vehicle? If they ever do that for a moving violation, ask them what their probable cause is. They have to have a good reason to search your vehicle, and just wanting to because its a custom ride and might contain illegal items based on that is not probable cause.

I have, on several occasions told a cop he could not search my vehicle and explained to him that he did not see me engaged in anykind of activity that would give him cause to believe there were illegal items in my vehicle or on my person. This is mostly due to the fact that I just plain don't trust cops (other then the guy in my club). I grew up dealing with their BS when I was 16 and rollin in Sacramento. Now I know my rights and I enjoy pissing them off and watching them spin their tires speeding away from me.

I've gotten two of those in the past...had to go downtown to court and face the judge...had to pay for one that came out to 100 dollars or so and the other got thrown out...its adjusting ur suspension while driving that gets their attention...just lay off the switch box while going down the road and you'll be left alone...

shit ive goten one of those and i wasnt even hitting switchs. stupid cops got it wroth off the nest day paid 10 bucks for dismissel fee.

i know for a fact that la has a law against shaved doors and there laws are stupid but thats why i only go to la when its lake frt tour or gator drag other than that i stay in tx

yeah the cops do need to spend more time catching bad guys... the world might be a little safer. yeah in my town the cops suck ass. a friend of mine got a ticket a few years ago and it cost like $300--distracting to others or some shit like that. the laws are really pathetic when it comes to custom rides. ya just have to learn to be careful and look for cops before you decide to hit the switch......

They like to pull you over here in branson missouri for riding "un-level". when the ticket hits the courtroom the judge always tosses it out and tells the cop to stop it! LOL

I was cruisin the strip in vegas and got pulled over for hittin switches. I had no bed on my truck and my license plate was in my back window so i got an unsafe and license plate display ticket. I moved my plate to the back but i still didn't have a bed on it and i saw a cop walkin out of a fast food joint and he just signed off on that ticket. The unsafe was only 90 bucks and that was it.

we were out driving one night and 3 of the trucks got pulled over at once. they were looking thru the law books and couldnt find anything to give out tickets so everyone got verbal lashings.... texas is no way as hard as cali
