What all is involved in putting in an IRS from an RX-7?? do you have to build a whole new back half or just mod the original Frame? I am new to this and any help will be good I Know its been done and been asked a number of time but please dont flame me on this... I am also planning on doing and RX7 motor as well... I am getting this stuff for a good price and I plan on starting it in the first of winter... Thanks in advance....If anyone has pictures that would be good too...

hahahahahahahahahaha......

I have an engine if you want it... with mounts, ecu, wiring harness, brand new block and rotors, chrome cat/presilencer (header) and tranny. $1500 plus shipping...

The engine is NOT a bolt in, you will have a lot of modifications to get it in. For the rear end you will have to do a back half.

I had the motor, tranny, and rearend in my 88 b2200. It was all easy for me, because I built a whole new frame. I still got the rear for sale if any one wants it.

shorten driveshaft + new brake line. and you will need a flat head screw driver.

When did they become "backhalved" what happened to "sub-frame"??? I guess its time to step out from under my rock......

You don't have to build another subframe for the rear if you don't want to. Look at pics, get the rear-end under the truck and come up with some ideas. I hope you have a welder and a tape. When you're doing trick shit like that, there's no one way to do it.

duct tape.

the RX rear is short enough to fit under a stock frame and still lay out if you c notch above the axles. How bad ass would that be to stockfloor a truck and keep a stock bed floor? Without even raising it for the body drop?
