Ok i wanna remove my cat on my 86 nissan 720 z24 2.4L but i've heard that nissans use back pressure so if i do i will lose alot of Hp... if this is true, do cats restrick that much Hp or any at all? If Hp is restricted what could i replace it with to increase Hp

No, mufflers are for backpressureYou can get high flow cats that are straight thru...Cats are jus to burn unburned fuel that may get into your exhaustSo you should be fine

I removed the cat from my 720 and if anything it gives it just a little more kick. No restrictioin.

i cut mine off and welded a straight pipe and got a chink muffler.... lol i know a chink muffler and no power was lost so u should be good

your worried about horse power?? cmon man its only a 4 cylinder, who cares about horse power with a 4 banger, as long as it runs efficeintly just take that bitch out and dragg it!! lol...mine runs just fine without it...L8

thats the problem lol its a 4 cylinder i need all the power i can get to get that beast up a hill lol

hills? heck, here in the Central Valley of California there are no hills. i guess there's some if you count the offramps from the freeways that take you to the overpass!!!! or the hills along the street leading into some parking lots!!!
