cab , what you need a cab for ???
long story lol
some of us get so excited when we first bodydrop our truck and drag the living shit out of it untill the rockers are beat to nothing.... therefor, get new cab and just stockfloor it, thats my story
No that is not the reason. It is already stockfloored. The guy who originally did the "chop" and "suicide doors" did poor quality work on it. There is a lot of money that I have spent on this truck and I do not want to paint it and in 2 years have shi* chip off, if you get my drift. As far as the doors go, o man o man.
I just dont understand why shops that do not do quality work try to act like they know what they are doing, when in all respects they don't know anything at all. People that run these kinds of shops think that this is a game and they try to "experiment" no peoples trucks. It's not a game, people spend their hard earned money on their trucks and when shops like this come along, take it, chop up your truck into pieces, and then give you back a piece of shit that you have no idea what to do with is just plain ridiculous.
So what I am saying is that I already had to spend money at Mind to Metal to re-do a lot of work on my frame work to make it strong and reliable. Now I have to get my truck actually running because the professional who did the work gave my truck back into pieces. All the wires, computer, fuse box, radiator fan, etc... are just laying around.
My truck wont start, so know my brother, who is a mechanic, has to sit there and go through everything to see what wires go where and to see why this truck wont start.
As far as the bodywork, as mentioned above, I will not and can not just get this truck ready to be painted like it is. Therefore, the MAJOR fabrication that was not properly done, (i.e. chop, suicide doors, and the front end) will be all redone. I am buying a new cab and I have to get that one chopped down and suiceded. It will cost more money and yes I am doing the same thing twice, but I found a shop that can do it right to where it will be reliable and last a long time. The front end will get re done as well. This truck will come out right.
The name of the game: live and learn. Sometimes is costs people a whole lot of money and sometimes people can learn off of others mistakes. Dont go to shops that "say" they can do something and give you a cheap price. Go to shops that you know put out quality work.
So with all that said, I need a new cab.
