He's not impressed because he doesnt like Civics. He never said anything about the work. Its like hating on the hardcore 4WD guys because its not your thing. Who gives a flying fuck. A lot of work goes into those, but it doesnt matter if thats not your style. Same with your car.

Yeah, you did a lot of work to make it lay. Big deal. A lot of people on this forum go through hell to make shit lay, or body drop their shit and keep a stock hood, or chop their top with stock glass.
