Screw Air Lift/EZ street...

Ok, so on the 04 sunfire i have the full air lift/ez street kit. Well, about a month ago one of the nuts backed off the struts and fucked up the strut, well I call air lift and they tell me its my fault and that i'll have to buy a new strut and that it wasn't torqued to their specs. So i got back and get my owners manuals and read all about how to install the struts agian and i find there is NO torque specs in the directions and that the upper mount is just supposed to be tightened down. Well, as I already ave one strut fucked up, i checked to make sure the other strut was tight and it was. Now, a month later the other strut has backed off... I'm so fucking pissed right now its not funny. Does anyone besides Air Lift and AIM make a kit for the front of these cars?

A lock nut was included in the kit and I used blue med. strenth loctite after the first one backed off... No help.

Every kit I've ever installed of theirs came with a lock nut for the strut. Are you talking about the nut on the shaft (tee hee!), or the nuts that hold the upper strut bearing to the strut tower? I'm sorry to hear you're unhappy with them- I've usually had great luck with their products as well as their customer service...
Universal Air makes a universal kit that installs over your factory strut. I've sold a few of these kits, and had pretty good luck. But first, I'd give Corey or Jim another shot at making it right, if it was the center nut. Good luck!

ever heard of mantinance.......not there fault you dont check it out every so often

i have a easystreet kit on my 02 civic, i had one problem in the right rear strut bag, i talked to corey over there and he took very good care of me, got me what i needed and now i am back on teh road. I love airlift and the people who work there, there top notch IMO.

I am refering to the nut on the top of the shaft.

You installed it. Its your responsibility to make sure its done properly. Or take it to someone who has experience with the kits. There products are some of the best on the market, and they still make improvements all the time. Going on a public forum and bashing them is not going to help you. You need to Give them a chance to help you first.
