I have a couple of questions for you guys who use photoshop on a regular basis. The answer to the first question may answer the second:Do you guys use tablets? If so what should I look for when I go to buy one?How do you lay out flames, two tones, or sword brushing in a rendering? Are they hand drawn or robbed off of other pics.

DISCLAIMER: I'm not trying to steal any of your work from you. I just bought photoshop for other things and ended up screwing around with vehicles. You guys would all laugh at some of my renderings.

chk out photoshopjunkie.com ...there's a couple good beginner tutorials that will get you in the right direction. just remember, there's a million different ways to do one thing. and practice managing your layers...its a lot easier when not confused, lol.

as far as graphics...pen tool in ps or ill. some use 'barrowed' graphics, others do it from scratch, some do both. digi cams and scanners can be your best friend.

I've spent lots of time on photoshopjumkie. I guess I was just wondering if you guys do stuff like this with just a normal mouse and the pen?

i manually use the lasso tool a like 90 percent of the time in photoshop. mostly to control aribrushing and to copy and paste things

i never use the pen tooland only sometimes use the magic wand.

i draw all my paint designs in illustrator. much cleaner

Tablet question.... get a Wacom, they are the best. as for what to get from them, it's all about what your bank account looks like, the larger the tablet the more $$... but all wacom's strait kick ass and the only one i'd ever go with...

paint jobs... I do all mine in Illustrator, much cleaner lines and you can have a lot more play with it...
