The MazBQ is in the club IV Everlow and the guy lives in Roseburg, OR. He should know your answers if others dont.

I would use some foam, maybe you could even buy a cooler and tear it apart.

just build a real cooler right into the bed...that'll give you the insulation and lid, just build a bed kit around it. They did a tech article on this in an issue of Lowrider Mag. Just remember you'll have to attatch a hose to the drain and run it somewhere accessable and put a small ball valve on the end.

that maz from iv ever low is a lot dif from what you are trying to in the sense that he doesn't drive it so it doesn't have to be pratical

Yeah, Dustys tha Man...

Anyway, get a cooler at the quickee mart that is the size/shape you want it Around.
Then cut it off at the height you want/need.
Make a metal box like a frenched plate that the cooler fits in real snug like.
Weld that to the bottom side of the bed.

The best part is you can make the Lid ANY SIZE and SHAPE that you want.

A door popper and Magnet setup would prob. also work for ya

GOOD LUCK!!! and Save me a Beer!!!

Yeah thats what i was thinking just make it to where the cooler comes out and you wont half to worry about the insulation problem.
