COAST AIRBRUSH HAS SOME ALUMINUM PANELS JUST FOR THIS PURPOSE.http://coastairbrush.com/I LEARNED BY STRIPING ANYTHING I COULD GET MY HANDS ON, MY GRANDMAS FRIDGE, MY SISTERS BARBIE DOLL OR WUTEVER. YOU DONT WANT TO PRACTICE STRIPING HORIZONTAL FLAT THINGS CAUSE THATS NOT WHAT YOU'LL BE STRIPING IN THE REAL WORLD. TO GET THE FEEL OF THE BRUSH YOU MIGHT WANT TO TRY OUTLINING THINGS BEFORE YOU TRY FREESTYLIN.GOOD LUCK

why would you buy stuff to practice on? when i was learning i striped everything i own. tools, grinder, clocks, bikes, i even did my toilet and furnace. doing different objects is more of a chalenge because of the curves, and you cant move a furnace so its more like doing a car.

I think a beginner should start on a flat horizontal surface because curved items or verticle surfaces will be too challenging to begin with. You want to build some confidence in your ability before you move too quickly on to something that may end up frustrating you. Once you're comfortable with a flat horizontal surface, you can move on to more "real world" applications. JMO
