ranger 8.8 axle ends

just need some info on the swaping the disk brakes off my explorer on to a shorter ranger 8.8?

what year 8.8?

i havent been to the junk yard yet but im looking for a erly 90's. also will the axle 28 spline shaves work with my brakes?

how much narrower do you need? an early 90s 8.8 wont bolt to the drive shaft(90-92 8.8s) and they ahve a smaller axle bearing. get one from a 95 up ranger(should be bout 1.5 narrow,3/4 on both sides, maybe more) and your brakes should all bolt on there since they have the big bearing, but i dont see y u wana give up the 31 spline axles...

I dont want to give up the 31 spline axels but I was wanting to run a wider rear wheel/tire combo and have a nice deep dish to so thats the only reason for the change short of ordeing a custom housing/axle shaves

I want to make it look like a damn steam roller from the back ha ha

sorry dude i just wreckt it last week now it has a 03 ranger edge front end and i didnt take many pics of it before

i had to replace the hood, grill, header panal, hood latch, both hood hinges, ect ,ect but the fenders come out ok.

Did you find an aftermarket ranger edge hood or did you buy it from ford?
