I'm not quite positive what amp i'm going with. I'm trying to do these 2 suds and amp on a tight budget. So I was thinking about the audiobahn a8002v because I can get it for like $130 on ebay. unless there is a better cheap sub that you would reccommend for the 2 kicker 12's.

thanks and yes I am quite confused haha

if your on a budget im pretty sure your not going to find a good d class amp that will run at 1ohm so your going to need to match your subs for a 2ohm load, so get the dvc 2 ohm subs

if you need any questions answered and dont feel like typing anymore you can call me if ya like

thanks so much I appreciate that your are willing to give your number to help me. i don't mind the typing though. anyways so if I get that audiobahn 2 channel 800 watt amp could I get the 4 ohm subs run each one parallel to bring them to 2 ohm load and run 1 to each channel? then could I bridge them? sorry if i'm confusing and if I don't make sense.

if you run each sub at 2 ohms and then turn around and try to bridge them you will end up dropping to 1 ohm, because a 2ohm sub put together with a 2ohm sub brings the load down to 1ohm now, try and find a hifonics mono amp on there in that price range, i believe they make a 1601 or somehting like that , that would work

nevermind ill have to search aorund cause my brians not working right now hang on ill be back lol

thanks again bro

so to confuse the situation even more if bridging it brings it down to half the ohms can i run the 4 ohm dvc subs in series to run a 4ohm load then bridge them to bring them down to 2 ohm load?

if your planning on running a 2 channel amp bridged and want to be at 2ohms you have to go with the 2ohm dvc, wire each one to 4 ohms and them wire them together bringing them back down to 2ohms at the amp bridged,

check out this mono amp from hifonics, it will be more then enought to power the hell out of those kicker subs and its only a little more in price then that audiobahn amp but will out perform it alot

If ur going to be using a 2 channel amp than i would go with the dual 4ohm subs and wire them in series and it will produce a 4ohm load and then bridge the amp because it will produce a 4ohm load

If you run the 4 ohm dvc subs in series then it will remain at 4 ohms and then when you bridge that doesn't bring it down to a 2 ohm load?

if you have each sub at 4ohms and you out the wires together from each sub to bridge it to the amp you will now see a 2ohm load

He doesn't need 2ohms for that amp he can get full power at 4 ohms bridge
