No offence taken at all. Everyone has their own opinons. The reason I came out swinging was pretty evident in my post. Everytime one of these clowns get pulled over, they ALL start bitching about the police, and how they ALL get harrased. It's like a freaking L.A. City Council Meeting: The whole comminity starts bitching instead of looking inward at the situation that THEY created for themselves. It just further confirms my decision to step back from that whole scene. It's time to grow up boys and girls. I've been pulled over for qustionable stuff. Everyone has at one point I'm sure. I don't have any right to get pissed and here's why: We (the responsible 'truckers') don't do a damn thing when some asshat in the scene goes out and does something stupid. Then another one does something out of line, then another and so on and so on. We are the ones that need to step up. You don't see this in the 'hot rod' community as much because for the most part, if you screw up there, you get your ass kicked. They take care of their own. We don't. We let these young punks get away with murder, and we bitch when we get pulled over for dumb stuff. I don't care which way you slice it, dragging is against the law. Period. So the cops will use any excuse to pull you over because they have to check you out. Think of it like this: If 90% of people on your block stole from you, wouldn't you be a little suspicious to see someone walking around your house at 2am? Would you check him out, or would you just let him walk around your pad, because he might really be legit? I know I would bust his ass and see what he was up too. If that makes me a prick, so be it. Yes, sometimes the cops are out of line. I'm not saying they are the end all, be all. If you really want it to stop, the older guys, and the responsible young guys need to step up and school these punks who screw it up for everyone. You do that, and eventually, the cops will lay off. So take that you SSM Punks!
